Sheffield quartet The Sherlocks are preparing for a grand performance at NBHD Weekender on Saturday 23rd May! We caught up with them to find out all about them and what you can expect from their set…
Introduce yourselves – tell us about you, your background, music and formation.
4 Yorkshire lads from a little village in the middle of nowhere. 2 sets of brothers. Crook brothers and Davidson brothers.
What’s your favourite thing to do in Manchester or where do you aim for when visiting?
We love a pint or 5. We once found a mad little 24 hour underground snooker club before we played Castlefield Bowl, so we aim for that when we come back.
Which other artists are you going to try and check out at NBHD?
Ian Brown, Shed 7, The Coral, Sam Fender, Reverend & The Makers, The Snuts, class bands! What a line up!
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Be class to do a tune with Dave Grohl!
Can you remember the first song you wrote when you were young? What was it called?
‘Make Her Mine’, Kiaran wrote it in the back of his maths book haha
If you could have a meal with three musicians, dead or alive, who would it be?
Elvis, John Lennon & Lemmy!
Tell us a story from your time on the road…
Far too many. Once had a mental night in Tokyo, got lost & ended up eating fish flakes in this mad little place at the end of the night.
What can people expect from your NBHD set?
It’s gonna be a riot, pure carnage. Can’t say anymore. Everyone knows when they turn up to one of our gigs it’s just mayhem in a good way. What a fan base!
Plans for the rest of the year?
UK TOUR, then off to America, then festival season UK & Europe then record album 3 I reckon.
Message for the fans?
Thank you always for being behind our band, stay cool! X
