Hot off the heels of a highly successful UK tour, the flag bearers for energetic, arena-filling alternative rock, Catfish and The Bottlemen, have been announced as a NBHD Weekender headliner!
The Llandudno four-piece released their third album The Balance in May, which Louder Than War called “both edgy and undeniably catchy”, adding “The success just can’t seem to stop and The Balance’shows us exactly why that is”. Indieisnotagenre also commented “This album is golden, the songs are undeniably classic Catfish, but they suit and compliment the new era of the Bottlemen.”
The Balance follows an almost three-year wait after 2014’s The Balcony and 2016’s The Ride, both of which sold over one million copies between them and are both certified Platinum. The Balcony features their most popular track to date, ‘Kathleen’, along with the likes of ‘Fallout’ and ‘Cacoon’, whereas, The Ride includes their second most successful single ‘7’.
Made up of Van McCann, Benji Blakeway and Johnny Bond, Catfish formed in the late noughties and has reached phenonimal success through their monochrome aesthetic and indie-rock bangers. Their career so far has included a string of nationwide sell outs, summer festival headline dates and international appearances.
