This week, London indie quartet Sea Girls have dropped their latest single ‘Open Up Your Head’. Premiering on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show as her Hottest Record, it’s already received high praise across the board.

Frontman Henry Camamile said the track is about “being your own worst enemy but having someone believing in you unconditionally. Some people struggle with self-esteem, some people party too hard, and some people feel stuck from making wrong choices. It can be crucial having someone who offers a hand out of those places we don’t want to remain in.”

The anthemic song builds up to huge choruses, enhanced by high-tuned riffs and catchy rhythms throughout. Currently the face of Spotify’s The Indie List playlist, Scientists of Sound called it “a stadium-ready anthem”, while It’s All Indie have complimented their progression.

The electric single will soon be found on their upcoming debut album along with previously-released track ‘All I Want To Hear You Say’. Catch Sea Girls perform these two explosive indie pop tracks at Neighbourhood Weekender this May, with tickets on sale here!
