Northern band Marsicans- where ‘upbeat indie meets dirty pop’- have released a video for their second track ‘Pop-Ups (Sunny at the Weekend)’. The track was recorded from their Distiller TV live session at Neighbourhood Festival on Saturday 6th October, before they played their set at The Bread Shed later that evening. Intimate Northern Quarter venue, Scruff of the Neck, were the hosts for this special recording, which has already gained over 1,000 views on Mariscans Facebook page.
Marsicans have also been nominated for Indie Central Music’s ‘Track of the Year’ with ‘Pop-Ups (Sunny at the Weekend)’, with ICM describing the track as ‘an exceptional work of art’. You’ll have to be quick to get your votes in, as voting closes Friday 21st December, and they are up against some tough competition from the likes of Blossoms and Arctic Monkeys.
